HP Laserjet Pro MFP M28W - A 'System Extension Blocked' Message Displays (macOS)

This document is for HP printers and macOS Mojave (10.14) and Catalina (10.15).
When installing an HP print driver, a System Extension Blocked error message displays during driver installation.
Use Apple's Security and Privacy System Preferences to allow the required extensions to install for your printer to work correctly.
  1. Open the Security & Privacy preferences.
    • If the error message displays, click Open Security Preferences.
    • If the error message does not display, open the Apple menu, select System Preferences, and then click Security & Privacy.
  2. On the General tab, click Allow next to the HP Inc. was blocked from loading message.
  3. If a Legacy System Extension message displays, click OK.
  4. Restart the computer to finish the installation.

HP Laserjet Pro MFP M28W - 'Encryption Credentials Expired' error (macOS, iOS) When printing from macOS or iOS, an  Encryption Credentials Expired  error message displays and you are unable to print. The error displays when the Embedded Web Server (EWS) has an expired certificate, and hence the operating system rejects the certificate. This Certification is necessary to secure connections with AirPrint and Secure Internet Printing Protocol (IPPs). To resolve the error, generate a new self-signed certificate from the EWS. Generate a new self-signed certificate from EWS Open EWS from a Windows computer, and then generate a new self-signed certificate. Use the desktop view of the EWS to generate the certificate.
